Cally Law is a Sunday Times journalist who has worked for national newspapers in London and New York for many years. She lives in London and Cornwall and has an insatiable passion for outdoor living.

Merlin Evans


Merlin Evans is a London-based illustrator and arts educator. Her illustration clients include English Heritage, Bloomsbury Books and John Lewis, among others. She has led workshops at the Design Museum, UCL, the Dulwich Picture Gallery and many other institutions, and her work has been exhibited at the British Library.

Tove Jansson


Tove Jansson was a writer, artist and cartoonist. The most widely read Finnish author abroad, she is best remembered as the creator of the Moomins. She drew her first Moomin in the 1930s just for fun, to tease her little brother by drawing the ugliest creature she could think of. In addition to the Moomin books, which have been translated into fifty languages, she was an acclaimed writer of novels and short stories.
